MUSIC AT BAND ON THE RUN
Music is a HUGE part of the Band on the Run. Runners will be serenaded by live bands along the route and at the start/finish line.
Join us after the race for a family-friendly, licensed all ages Celebration Party in River Mill Park from 12:00 – 6:00pm.
NEW IN 2019
We are so thrilled to have partnered with the Huntsville Festival of the Arts to throw you the biggest celebration party ever!!
This CELEBRATION PARTY is open to all race participants, their supporters, our amazing volunteers, and fabulous cheering bystanders!
No ticket purchase is necessary.
We are super excited to announce that we have partnered with LAKE OF BAYS BREWERY. They will have their own licensed area – perfect for taking in the show and sipping a well-earned cold beer – or wine if that is more your style.
We are shaking up our AWARDS CEREMONY. Band on the Run is about celebrating ACHIEVEMENT. Do you know anyone that is participating in BOTR this year who:
- Never EVER imagined themselves out there participating in an event like this and are doing it?!
- Has overcome obstacles that life has dished out to persevere and make it to BOTR?
- Is the inspiration behind a group of friends/family being here today?
- Takes it on to be the official herder of cats and gets everyone out training and co-ordinated?
- Makes running FUN?
We want to celebrate them at our awards ceremony!
Each of our generous sponsors will be presenting one of these CELEBRATION AWARDS during the Music Festival (at 1:30pm). We are opening up the nominations to you – let us know about that special person that should be honoured!
Send your nominations to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Include the person’s full name and your reasons for nominating them.
What is this CELEBRATION PARTY all about?
This party takes place in downtown Huntsville, in River Mill Park. Think relaxing on the grass with your friends, on the beautiful Muskoka waterfront, with a beautiful open air stage.
The afternoon includes performances by three live bands. Each one has been chosen with fun & celebration in mind. They’ll be singing songs you know and love singing along with. There’s plenty of room for dancing – and sitting back and relaxing while you enjoy the show. (Full details on Bands Here)
For anyone that has been to Nuit Blanche North – you can expect the same kind of magic. The Huntsville Festival of the Arts is the genius behind both of these events. There’s going to be Busker Performances by the Disco Darlings, strolling performances, interactive hoop zone, vendors and more!
This event is fun for all ages. Kids traditionally have a blast.
For 19+: There is a licensed area, with a great view of the stage, that will be selling beer and wine.
