TIME LIMITS

Race cut-off is 12:00pm. We have OPP and traffic control volunteers directing traffic and monitoring your safety at major intersections along the course starting at 8:30am. This isn’t an easy job as you can imagine, so we let them go after 3.5 hours. If you find yourself still on the race course after 12:00pm, simply follow the sidewalks or shoulder of the roads until you get back to the start/finish area on Main Street.

YOU MAY BE WONDERING ABOUT…

CHIP TIMING: This is a chip-timed race. Results will be calculated based on chip time. We are pleased to have top of the line “chip-on-the-bib” chips. These are disposable, flexible and light and they are attached right to the back of each race number bib.

BAG CHECK: Available to all participants.

STROLLERS: You are welcome to push your baby in a stroller. We ask that you start near the back for safety concerns.

DOGS: You are welcome to run with your dog as long as he/she is on a leash and under control. We ask that you start near the back for safety concerns.

AID STATIONS: There will be a total of 5 aid stations along the 1/2 marathon course. Because the course is an out and back format, you may pass by them more than once. That means you’ll pass by 9 aid stations on the 1/2 marathon route, 3 stations on the 10k and 1 aid station on the 5k route.

Here’s what you can expect at each Aid Station:

  • Water
  • Electrolyte Drink
  • First Aid
  • Porta-Potties
  • Enthusiastic Volunteers!

MEDICAL SERVICES: Medical Services  will be provided by  the Canadian Ski Patrol Muskoka Zone and will be available on-course and the medical tent at the finish line.

BANDS ALONG THE ROUTE: The race will feature live bands at the start and finish areas, the turn around point and along the route. It will be a rockin’ day for racers and everyone else who would like to come out and cheer them on.
